Further information about “Artur Toczek, geb. 22.11.1908 in Hindenburg Studienreferendar an der Talmud Tora Schule ab August 1935, Lehrer bis 30.6.1942. Artur Toczek unterrichtete nach der Referendarzeit als Oberlehrer an der Talmud Tora Schule. Er hatte die Lehrbefähigung für Physik und Mathematik. Seit Dezember 1941 – nach den Herbstdeportationen – führte er eine Klasse, die aus den letzten Kindern der Quarta und Untertertia sowie den 7. und 8. Volksschulklassen kombiniert war und ersetzte damit seine bereits deportierten Kollegen Ernst Streim und Emil Nachum. Seine Frau Nelly Toczek, geb. Nathan leitete jahrelang die Fachschule für Schneiderinnen in der Heimhuder Straße. Zusammen mit seiner Frau und seinen beiden kleinen Töchtern wurde er in Auschwitz ermordet.   Deportiert nach Theresienstadt am 15.7.1942. Im Oktober 1944 deportiert nach Auschwitz From: Stolpersteine, Hamburg.”
